Focus Areas: How to Maximize Their Use
You see them on almost every real estate website -- including your own! However what do they actually do for your customers? Are they really that beneficial? How can you help them help your website standout from the crowd?
Let's face it, the majority of people come to your website for one thing: to search for properties. How do Focus Areas help with that goal? Focus Areas act as quick searches for anyone browsing your website for properties. They eliminate the need for excessive 'click-browsing', where a person has to repeatedly click around your website's various pages and options in order to find what they are after. This can lead to a lasting negative impression of one's website. By introducing ease-of-use features such as Focus Areas, you are helping eliminate any wasted time a person might spend while on your website. Another "part of the problem" is that everyone has them. They look the same, the act the same (luckily that's not part of the problem), they are always in the same spots -- the same, the same, the same. It becomes too commonplace and most of the time lost amid everything else. Fortunately, if you follow me with these few easy methods, you can solve this problem for your website too.
Some Focus Area Facts: you can setup to 4 areas per Focus Area content-widget, and you can add multiple content-widgets to a single page. Well that's not only it; you can also upload your own images to the Focus Area Headers, and even change the colour of the Options (bullet-points) and Frame.
