Neighbourhood Profile Microsite!

Neighbourhood Profile Microsite!

Having a simple, to-the-point microsite outlining a specific area boasts your knowledge and expertise of that area to the general public viewing your website. It is also effective in helping with your search engine optimization (SEO) and boosting your website's rank in searches. To view a blog on additional details about SEO, please click here.

One of the many benefits of our product is that you can make every page on your website look different to spice it up; it doesn’t have to have just one global header! I used this to my advantage when I created this simple, 4-page example website with a different header and colour scheme for each page. This demonstration site has a Welcome page, a Listings page, a Profile page, and most importantly a Contact page! Check it out below for an idea of what an area profile microsite can encompass.

Page 1: Home

The first page, as seen above, is a general welcome note with a brief introduction to the Yorkville area as well as the site's content. Most importantly, it has the agent’s contact information where it is clearly visible.

The rest of the pages contain different headers, however they still follow the same theme as the Home page for consistency – they have the same page width, same style, and the background colour of the menu matching the banner of that page. The headers were created using Photoshop, and the menu is a regular text menu in a Rich Text Box using a table and hyperlinks.

Page 2: Properties

Potential clients surfing the web for Yorkville information are most likely interested in properties. An interactive search map is a great tool which gives you the option to set the initial criteria to a particular area – in this case, Yorkville. It is user friendly and allows users to search using many different options, including Amenities in the area!

Page 3: Area Profile & History

The fourth page contains the actual area information taken from the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) website. Due to TREB’s contractual obligations, you are only allowed to use up to 12 neighbourhood profiles on your website - they cannot be edited or modified in any form or fashion besides what is provided in the module format, as seen above (minus the banner and menu, of course). All of the neighbourhood profiles are available in our system in a module format.

Page 4: Contact

Last but not least is the Contact page, probably the most important page in the real estate business! This example has a heading, and a Standard Contact Form with a few additional fields making it more applicable to this website/neighbourhood. When a visitor fills out this form, you are e-mailed with all the contact information and additional details they entered.

A website like this could be created yourself by familiarizing yourself with themes and presets. To have a different banner on every page for example, a different preset needs to be created for each page. If you wish to have a website like this created for you based on your preferences, please contact the customization department at 416-493-2751 ext 2, click here to send them an e-mail for additional information, or simply login to your account and create a support ticket.
